Materials

Fabric Content: 100% cotton.

Drawing from the Sanjhi tradition of paper-cut stencils, beginning with floral or geometric shapes embroidered into the cloth before their centers are cut away by hand. The fabric is then dyed with plants at Bio Dye, where color settles around the cut edges to frame each form. What remains is a play between solid and open a fabric that carries the depth of embroidery and the lightness of sheer, shifting as light moves through it.
